A downloadable game

A small print & play game for 2-4 players about fishery management.

You're in charge of the fishing industry for your country. Satisfy your people's demand for seafood by upgrading your fishing equipment, and harvesting fish. But beware! Catch too many fish too quickly, and even the high seas can run out of fish.

Play consists of 10 years. Calculate score based on how much demand you have satisfied. Try to get the highest score.

Requires at least 5 six-sided dice to play.

This game aims to demonstrate how international cooperation to manage the world's ocean fisheries can be beneficial to everyone in the long run. If you have the time, we recommend playing the game twice: the first time playing to "get the highest score at the table" like a normal board game. The second time, play cooperatively to "get the highest collective total score". Compare the personal scores in the two games.

It also tries to show how interconnected marine life is, and how predators also "support" prey populations, though this is very simplified, and not explicitly mentioned in game.

Fishery_Boom_2-sided prints in 4 2-sided A4 sheets, and can be used to play 4-player twice (if your pens don't go through the page)

If you have any suggestions, or if you played the game, or if you know how to draw fish, get in touch at chihyaowho@gmail.com. Thanks.
